Darkclaw looked around and saw that she nor Thornstar had gotten any fresh kill out of the pile.She padded over to only see that it was empty.So Darkclaw went to the hunting grounds.Moments later Darkclaw had a water vole for Thornstar, a small plump shrew for her and two other small shrews for the pile.Darkclaw dropped her fresh kill into the pile and picked out the ones she had hunted for her and Thornstar.Darkclaw carried it to Thornstar's den and then mewed softly which she didn't usually do a lot of times, Thornstar I have brought some real fresh, fresh kill.Darkclaw sat and waited for the answer to come in and sit.

Thornstar awoke at the sound of her voice. His stomach rumbled, he didn't remember when he last had food in his belly! Come in Darkclaw! He sat up and started to wash the moss from his glimmering dark pelt. In the darkness of his cave, only his eyes were able to be seen, glowing, looking towards the entrance.

Darkclaw pciked up the fresh kill and padded into the den, I thought you might be hungry, here you go.She gave the piece of fresh kill she had caught for him and then pciked up her own and started to walk out of the den feeling a pang of embarssment of coming in then dropping the prey then walking out.Then she hoped that he would invite her to eat with her but it was probably just a wish or a hope nothing would come true with her.

Darkclaw, I don't want to be alone. Come eat with me. His voice was soft, and a slight purr rumbled in his throat. Thank you for bringing me this. He waited for her to come back inside of his den, feeling rather sheepish about what he said, but it was to late to take it back. She's a very pretty cat

Darkclaw pricked her ears at his voice, Has Starclan make this miracle come true or is this just a trick?Oh well.She put her paw to the side and spun around on one paw remembering to claw the ground as her paw spun around to face Thornstar.Her prey spun around with her and then stopped and flopped around while Darkclaw carried it to where Thornstar had said.She had remembered when they first met he was the deputy and she was just a kit with a little white cough or green cough, he had took care of her and had then forgot about her when he couldn't find her.Darkclaw shook her head forgetting the thoughts and sat next to Thornstar eating in big clumps but ate slow not to be rude to eat fast.Darkclaw ate and waited for Thornstar to say something.

Thoughts raced through Thornstar's mind. He felt like a new apprentice, nervous as ever a cat could be. He finished his prey in 2 ravonous gulps. He sat closer to her and started to share tongues, cleaning in between her ears. I've been thinking. I need a mate, and well, I thought.......MAYBE...........You'd like to be the she-cat to be the mother of my kits?
I can't believe how I said that!STUPIDSTUPID! Come on, you've had kits before, you shoujld know how to ask this question! Mousebrain! Thornstar silently beat himself up in his head.

Darkclaw widen her eyes. shocked of what he had said, she wondered what to say but when she opened her mouth nothing came out but a small, delighted mew came out instead.She finished her prey then tryed to speak again and nothing came out, Darkclw felt embarssment for what was happening the only time she felt loved was, never!Darkclaw opened her mouth again and this time she finally said it in a small whisper, Yes!I'm going to be a mother but when?

Thornstar was so excited! He lost himself in the moment of pure excitement from her words. yes!She said yes! He snapped his eyes open with a start, tomorow is the gathering! I totally almost forgot about it! I need to make an announcement, but when we get back, we'll talk more about this. thornstar bounded out of the den leaving a clearly bewildered Darkclaw.

Darkclaw got up and carried the bones that Thornstar and her had from their prey, she took them to where she would bury them later.She sat waiting for the meeting to start.
