Swiftpaw was tired, she'd had a long day. She was made an apprentice today! She wondered if Tigerpaw was as tired as her. She stumbled into the apprentices den and looked for a place that wasn't taken by another apprentice and curled up and went to sleep. It was weird not having Brightkit beside her and she was a little lonely.

Swiftpaw awoke the next morning. She padded out into the clearing and looked for something to eat in the fresh kill pile. She was lonely. She went outside of the apprentices den and started to pluck the feathers from her wood pigeon. When all the brown-grey feathers were off the bird she sank her teeth into the suculant piece of prey. She would have liked to have a vole instead, but there was none. Vole was the first fresh kill she ever had, and she loved it. She was completely and uterly bored. She looked around the clearing and licked her chops. Finding a patch of sun, she warmed her tortoishelle fur.

Tigerpaw ran out of the apprentices den and ran over to where Swiftpaw was laying.She laid there to beside Swiftpaw and then she asked, I wonder when our mentors are going to take us out.Tigerpaw stretched and then went back to sun bathing.

I think my father....you're mentor, likes you. He was looking at you pretty hard during the ceremony. Swiftpaw smiled. I hope we see all of the territory!((wow, after so long from calling her Swiftkit, its wierd to get used to  )

What likes me!But doesn't he have a mate already!Who left for Moonstone, because she is a medicine cat.But hang on, she can't have kits!It's against the warrior code!Even, why would he like me!?Tigerpaw, smiled slightly and stared at Swiftpaw, with a little love in her eyes.What Strongheart, the deputy, likes me!

Strongheart woke from the sounds of his apprentice and his adopted daughter talking.He padded out of the warriors den and stretched.He let out a moan and then padded to where Swiftpaw and Tigerpaw were sitting.You better eat.We will be exploring the whole terriotry today, maybe with Whitestar and Swiftpaw.He told Tigerpaw as he looked at her with gleaming eyes.What is this feeling Starclan!?Strongheart turned away and headed for the fresh kill pile.Is this the sign that I love her or is it something else?

Swiftpaw looked at her adopted father with amuzment. Thanks father! I'll go eat, come on Tigerpaw! She looked at her and winked, See I told you! She whispered.

Fighterclaw came out of the warriors den seeing two of the new apprentices he went over and mewed, Where are your menotrs?He waited for an answer as he started to not be harsh on them as he saw Swiftpaw.

Swiftpaw yawned. Whitestar is my mentor, and Strongheart is Tigerpaws. She shoved Tigerpaws shoulder good heartedly. She looked at the warrior who stood in front of her. He looked to be about 12 moons, 5 moons older than her.

Swiftpaw looked at him. Well....I don't know, Strongheart had planned on taking us to see the territory, but I don't know when that's happening....so......sure!

Ok come with me!He mewed playfully as he jumped silly to the entrance, when he looked back Swiftpaw was jumping silly too.

Swiftpaw quickly looked back at Tigerpaw. Cover for me! Tell them where I went if they ask. She jumped over a log and went out of the gorse tunnel, her white tipped tail dissapearing behind it.

Flakepaw could sleep through almost anything, but the voices were just too much. Normally one or two would be fine. Finally she opened her eyes and shook her head. It had been a long night with the ceremony and two new apprentices in the den. As she looked around, Flakepaw noticed only Tigerpaw was left. All the others had obviously already left. She yawned quickly. "Hello Tigerpaw, how are you this morning?"
