Rain up the bushes of heather to where the heart of the bushes lay.She sniffed the air, smelling a rabbit made her crouch on the ground.Rainpaw looked around trying to find the rabbit, she crept down some bushes until at the end of the bushes a rabbit was eating some leaves.Rainpaw held down until the rabbit looked away.Rainpaw slowly crept toward the rabbit silently jumping on a rock behind the rabbit.Making sure she was far up she unsheathed her claws then jumped down.As the rabbit struggled Rainpaw silently bit down in the rabbits neck so any prey wouldn't be running away from the bushes of heather.

Hawkpaw went North towards that caves that were on the border of WindClan territory. When he got there, he immediatly smelled prey and dropped into his hunting crouch. Mouse, rabbit, Badger? Badger! Oh, it's old. I'll go for the mouse first. Hawkpaw thought, getting scared for a moment about the badger. He parted his jaw and carefully smelled around for the scent of the prey. He caught the scent of mouse and followed it until he saw the plump mouse washing itself on a large rock near a small cave. He crouched down and stalked the mouse, once he got close enough, he pounced killing the mouse with his powerful jaws. He buried his kill and went looking for more prey. Almost at once, he smelled a rabbit. Hawkpaw slowly went after it. He pounced and almost missed it, but he barely caught it by the leg and jumped again towards its throat, killing it. He hoped that Ravenwhisker wasn't watching him at that moment, but he did not know, and probably never would. Hawkpaw went over to where he buried his mouse and put the rabbit with it. He set off looking for more prey to kill.

Rainpaw looked around the bushes of heather, everything was so still or silnet. She sniffed the air and smelled rabbit, she quickly spotted it hoping along the bushes.Rainpaw felt the air the wind was going toward her so she quickly padded lightly across the bushes until hse got close enough to pounce.Rainpaw pounced the rabbit didn't notice it until she had landed on it.She heard the rabbits skull break and then thought, That was too easy jsut pounce on the prey and the skull cracks!Rainpaw took the rabbit to where she had buried the other rabbit. She dropped it on the other rabbit and quickly sniffed, there was a fresh scent of mouse in the bushes. As Rainpaw crept over there she saw the mouse, nice and plumped, so that meant it was likely to be juicy and good.she couldn't wait so she pounced her claws going into the mouses bakc killing it just like the second rabbit she had caught. She picked it up and put it with the other prey.Rainpaw sniffed the air again and smelled some fresh rabbit scents. So she decided to go after them and have fun chasing until they were caught.

Hawkpaw continued to search for prey scents as he walked around the caves on the edge of WindClan territory. He had his jaws slightly parted and suddenly got the scent of mouse. He followed the scent and quickly found the large mouse. He pouned on it, killing it instantly. He padded over to where he had buried his other prey and added the mouse to the pile. I'm doing good so far. A few more pieces of prey and I should be fine. Hawkpaw thought as he smelled the scent of another rabbit. Prey was abundent at this time of year. It was one of the best times to have an apprentice assesment. His paws carried him to where the rabbit was digging a hole into the ground. It's head was in the ground so it could not hear him. Hawkpaw jumped onto the rabbits back and bit down hard on its neck. The rabbit was killed and brought to the pile that was starting to get large. Hawkpaw then smelled around for more prey.

Moments later Rainpaw had three small rabbits added to the pile. The hole was getting small for her prey so she quickly made a new one next to the other one.Next to her a dead fat and plumped rabbit sat, she grabbed it by the neck and roughly putting it in the hole.Rainpaw opened her jaws partly to smell some prey.

Hawkpaw was still looking for prey. He had found two more mice and a rabbit. He parted his jaws and sniffed around for more prey-scents. He couldn't catch any so he walked to the far side of the caves. He smelled another mouse and followed it's scent. He found it and pounced. He killed it quickly and brought it to the pile where he was keeping all of his prey. He dug the hole bigger and covered it up with dirt. Hawkpaw then went sniffing for more prey, wondering when Ravenwhisker would tell him that he was finshed.

Ravenwhisker had been watching the apprentices all day. They had done well today, even though Hawkpaw had a slip earlier, but he caught the rabbit and that was all that mattered. Popping out of no where, Ravenwhisker approached Hawkpaw. Here, I'll help you carry some prey back to the camp, let me just go and get Rainpaw. I'll talk to you more at camp. We'll come back for the rest. Picking up a rabbit and the mouse, Ravenwhisker followed the freshest scent trail of Rainpaw and finally caught up to her. Putting down the prey, she approached her. It's finished, you've done well. Take some of that to camp, I'll talk to you more at camp. We'll come back for the rest.

Rainpaw surprised looked up to see her mentor, Yes Ravenwhisker, I willRainpaw mewed and picked up the fat rabbit and some of the mice she had caught. She somehow carried all her prey back, four rabbits dangling all from her jaws, the mice stuffed in her jaws and the fat, plumped rabbit in her jaws. With a firm hold she carried all her prey back to camp. (5 rabbits)
