Oakstar saw Sandpelt come out of the entrance and then he burst out the words, "Do you like me?Because we are the only two in the clan right now and I do like you but I understand if you don't like me because we need to expand the camp and I need a mate and I want you to be my mate."He gasped for air but went on, "I love you and I want you to be my mate!" He started to sniff the air for a scent, he then smelled vole.He crouched into a stalking position and started toward the prey.He then spotted it grew nearer to it then soon pounced on it, his job was done with killing it and he picked up the prey and started toward Sandpelt.

Sandpelt was astonished, she didn't know what to say. Really? I've...I've...always wanted to be with you too! Yes, I do like you! She tried to sputter. She was so happy that she couldn't move. She tried to get up and catch something but she missed and felt dumb. So she just sat there staring at Oakstar.

He stared back at her and pushed his prey toward her saying "Here you need it more than I need it"He got up and went to her to like her, he wispered into her ear "I love you!" He then stumbled toward the a heather bush near Sandpelt and then layed down so Sandpelt could finsh eating his vole.

Thanks Sandpelt said quietly. She bent her head down and started to chew on the vole. Want some? She asked and then heard what he said. She went over to him and nuzzled his face. She was now really happy, she would always be as long as she was with him.

He started to purr gently and then he got up and went into the gorse tunnel.Sandpelt followed he was happy to be with Sandpelt, he loved her and he wanted kits with her.He was happy at the thought, he looked back Sandpelt was following him he turned and licked between her ears and then started toward the highrock where he sat and stared at the forest.

Sandpelt followed Oakstar into the camp and sat next to him under the highrock. She sat there for a while and got the nerves to say, Oakstar? Have you thought about kits yet? She didn't know what to do so she just looked at him in the eyes with a large smile on her face. She really wanted kits with him...soon! Or now?
