Tiredly walking into the apprentice den Meadowpaw found moss at the entrance and made a nest in the corner of the den. Looking around he lay down in the moss and started licking his pelt. I wonder if Hawkwing is ok he thought. Picturing his mentor he put his head down and thought...Hawkwing is a smart cat...he'll come back safely. After a few minutes of grooming he closed his eyes and fell asleep. It wasnt long before he heard voices, that sounded like cats and scented Windclan.

Thinking it was Hawkwing returning from his mission. Meadowpaw opened his eyes expecting the apprentice den, but when he looked around he found himself in the middle of the camp! "Whaaa-! How did I get here!?!" Looking around again he saw cats staring at him. Their faces were blurry, but they all had Windclan scent! He walked over to a cat and tried to see their faces but they were all still blurry."Whats going on?" Thinking of Paintedstar, Meadowpaw ran to her den not caring whether he was allowed in or n

ot crashing through the entrance he almost bumped into a half black half tan cat. Staring at the big tom, Meadowpaw was shocked! He could see the cats face and it wasnt blurry. The big tom had a black nose and half of his face was black. The other half tan. His eyes were a dark green, and when Meadowpaw looked closer he reliezed the cat was staring right at him!
"Hello Meadowpaw" the big tom said "I have something to tell you."
Meadowpaw stared at the cat with wide eyes. "Ye-Yes"
The tom stood up proudly

he reminded him of Paintedstar. When his leader stood up her back left leg would always be behind her making her look like the proud brave cat she is. Disturbing his thoughts the big tom said "I am Bagder. A loner and your leaders father. I have come to tell you that the clans of the forest are fortunate. Soon cats all over will join the clans and everyone will be protected."
Meadowpaw couldnt believe what he was hearing. Everything was spinning in his mind. THIS cat was Paintedstars father, and cats will

will soon come join the clans. Shocked at all this news Meadowpaw managed to speak"Badger? WHEN will cats join the clans?"
Badger looked at the entrance to the den "The time will come...just remember 'Soon cats all over will join the clans'".
Meadowpaw watched as Badger walked out of the den and everything got dark. When Meadowpaw opened his eyes he was back in the apprentice den. Getting up and stretching his legs he walked to entrance and left to the camps clearing.
