Meadowkit laughed as Hawkwing chanted with him, then he saw Hawkwing think and quiet down, and noticed he was acting just like him; a kit. Meadowkit tried to hold his laughter and settled down just like Hawkwing. Looking at Paintedstar he asked, can I go hunting now?Please.

Paintedstar laughed and watched both cats settle down. Looking at Meadowkit she said softly "Sorry Meadowkit you're going to have to wait till tomarrow, its the rules." Looking back at Hawkwing she asked "Do you want to watch meadowkit for me while I rest?"

Yes Paintedstar, I can watch him! Hawkwing said. He scooted over to Meadowkit and laughed. So Meadowkit, are you excited to be an apprentice tomorrow? I'll train you good and tomorrow we will go look at the borders and maybe do a little training. How does that sound? Hawkwing asked Meadowkit. He laughed again when he saw that Meadowkit was trying not to laugh.

Paintedstar walked to her den and yowled back"Thank you!"

Meadowkit let out his laughter as Hawkwing scooted over."Yes! I cant wait to become an apprentice. That sounds great I cant wait to learn the other clans scent, and show you how good I am at fighting!" Looking at Hawkwing with amused eyes he said" How do you like being a mentor?

Hawkwing walked back to where he and Meadowpaw were sitting before and said I think I am going to enjoy being your mentor, Meadowpaw. Are you ready to go and learn the borders of the clans? He walked up the Paintedstar and said, Meadowpaw and I are going out to show him the clan borders. Is that alright with you?

Paintedstar watched as Hawkwing came towards her next to her den"Sure, hes your apprentice now. Do what you wish." she walked to her den to rest.

Meadowpaw waited for his mentor to come back.

Hawkwing walked back over to his new apprentice. Alrighty, lets go have you learn the clan borders. He said to Meadowpaw. He walked to the exit of the Clan's camp and expected Meadowpaw to follow him.

Hearing Hawkwings yowl, Paintedstar jumped and ran out of her den, her fur standing on end. "What in Starclans name is going on?"

Hawkwing spotted Paintedstar and ran to her. Meadowpaw and I came across a ShadowClan patrol while I was showing him their border. Lightstar said that there is a dog in our territory! I don't know if he was lying or if he was being serious. He said to Paintedstar. What should we do? Hawkwing asked, calming down.

Feeling her muscles tense Paintedstar looked over both cats making sure they were alright. Both cats looked fine other than Meadowpaw who was to tired to get up. "Hmmm.....a dog you say?" Looking back at Hawkwing "Well we dont have enough cats to even come close to a patrol and besides Meadowpaws to tired to lift a paw" Sitting down she looked at Hawkwing warmly. "Do you think you can check it out for me? If you find even a trace of dog you can come back.?"

Yes Paintedstar, I can go for you. I'll go look around for dog-scent. Hawkwing nodded. Shall I go now? He asked, then he looked over at Meadowpaw, who was still laying on the ground. Sorry about tiring him out, we had to get back here very fast, and I didn't want to risk him getting hurt. Hawkwing finished.

"Yes. Explore the whole territory, and remember if you even smell a trace of dog come back." Standing up she looked at Meadowpaw"Its ok. He needs to excercise. Why dont you let him rest"

Yes, Paintedstar. Hawkwing replied to his leader. I'll be back soon. He looked at Paintedstar, then at Meadowpaw. He turned and started walking out of WindClan camp, hoping it would not be the last time he saw this place. He was going to be careful, very careful...

"Good luck!" Paintedstar called as Hawkwing left. She wasnt sure if she made the right choice or not. Hoping the young warrior would come back safely she walked over to Meadowpaw who was sitting now watching Hawkwing leave "Meadowpaw? You look tired. I think you should go rest in the apprentice den."
Meadowpaw looked at his leader with concerned eyes. He wanted to go with Hawkwing but he was to tired to even answer Paintedstar. With a nod he went to the apprentice den and watched Paintedstar go to her den
