Firestar bounded over to the leaders den, and waited as she peared through the drapes that laid over the den sheilding the den from the sun in hte mornings and during the day.Firestar sat up and moved the moss a little bigger because of her skinny slef at nights.Moving and hitting the hard rock floor with no moss to protect it.Heather was added to it to make it softier and then the moss was nice and dry to make it so she didnt' get stiff joints during nights and naps during the day.Firestar watched the entrance for Ravenwhisker to come and talk to her so Ravenwhisker could tell her about the two apprentices.

Firestar, may I come in? When she heard the answering reply, Ravenwhisker went into the leaders den. Rainpaw and Hawkpaw did well. In the hunting part, they both caught a lot of prey, and in the fighting, well, I couldn't see some of their moves coming! I think they are ready.

Good, good.I also wanted to talk to you about something, are you sure you want to be a deputy.When I was deputy my leader didn't ask me if I wanted to or not and I did want kits!But still, if you want kits, this is your chance to say yes or o.Your decion is not mine but I have been seeing that Leopardtail liking you, so if I were you, I would make the right decion.Firestar licked her paw waiting for the answer from Ravenwhisker.

Ravenwhisker closed her eyes for a moment. It's true I want kits, and it's true that Leopard tail likes me. But..... something inside me says that this is right, this is my calling. Besides, Scarpaw needs someone to look up to, the poor dear. I was hoping to just, care for her. Make sure she settles and recovers. Yes, I want to be deputy. This is my life now, that's behind me. And I think a part of me will always want kits. But it's just not to be.

You know my mother said the same thing but then she did have me and then she turned into a deputy after I was made an apprentice.Jsut remember that sometimes the voices inside you are not just telling you not to it is also telling you to do it.So you have to have time to read the voices, figure out what voices are saying.Just like in you, what if they were really telling you to have kits and jsut wait to be deputy if the deputy ever dies during battle.Just remember what I said and be careful about your choices, you can't go back to fix them.Firestar stretched and then padded out of hte den, b[]Come, before moonhigh we will have the apprentices warriors![/b]

Are you telling me.....To step down? Ravenwhisker felt downcast. She thought that she conveyed her thoughts, she knew that she would always want to have kits, but this was her true calling! I don't care if I die without kits. If I die, I die with honour, in heat of battle! She let out a small hiss to emphathise her point, a hiss that wasn't directed at her leader. I promised you to be your deputy oh so many moons ago, and I will stick by your side in my rightfull place as your deputy. Her eyes blazed with a light, This was right!She could feel it!
