The First Gathering (November 10th)

Oakstar watched Darkclaw run up the hill, "You knew her, Sandpelt?"He looked at her with sorrow in his eyes, he then dropped to the ground, he was weak from the battle with that cat, he hated Darkclaw, but still it was Sandpelts' sister. He called for a medicine cat to look at his wounds.He finally got up, and said "I think this gathering is over, Starclan has sent Darkclaw for a reason but we all do not know why.This gathering is over, Starclan is will not let this gathering go on."He looked at his clan, they were all ready to leave.

"Wait it can't be over I think I know why Starclan has sent Darkclaw, I had a dream before we all came here, my mother was warning me about someting!"She hurried on the rock where the leaders said there speech, "she said, a fire is where your heart lies, trust the ones you don't believe, and don't trust your loved ones.This is your time Spottedpelt, a spotted fire is coming that will protect the clans and the untrusted! Darkclaw might be the spotted fire!I know this is true because the dream was before we all came and the gathering is now!She is the spotted fire no matter what!"She looked at the mumering cats and waited for one to protest her about Darkclaw.

Sandpelt tried to run after Darkclaw, but she was nowhere to be seen. She bolted back down to the clearing and to Oakstar's side. She started to lick his wounds, love in every stroke. Yes, I knew her. I remember playing with her as a kit. And our brother... Sandpelt whispered into his ear, His name was Badgerkit. He was funny. He used to chase us around and pretend to bite us. But then mother brought me away from them. That was the worst day of my life. When Oakstar got up, she tried to push him back down but it didn't work, he just kept talking.

Whitestar then spoke up, Spottedpelt, tell everyone more about this dream...where you were, who else was there? What did you see? She jumped back up onto the rock and looked at her. Spottedpelt had already told her about her dream, she had wanted to wait for the gathering to tell everybody.

What do you mean, 'spotted fire'? It doesn't make sense. Asked Blacktail.

Ravenwhisker looked at Sandpelt. she felt a wave of sympathy for the she-cat who had put her life on the line to protect her sister. But she couldn't get this nagging feeling inside her to leave, the one that said that Thornstar could NOT have done what that cat acceused him of. Thornstar, is ir true, did you really leave Darkclaw to starve for 4 days?
It couldn't be! Look at what he's done for Riverclan, they are growing strong again! He wouldn't do it! would you Thornstar? Skypaw asked.
It's true..... When I was still deputy of Riverclan, we found a kit out in the forest, It had greencough and we were weak as it was, we couldn't have our kits get sick, we couldn't afford it. But for some reason, the kit survived, by the time we had gone back to check on the kit, she had vanished. We thought that a fox or badger had gotten to her. But We were wrong. She is still alive. Thornstars weak voice rang across the clearing. Now let's hear about this "Spotted Fire" you were telling us about Spottedpelt

Darkclaw heard the warning from the gathering and turned around to hear what they were talking about.She looked down at the cats, all the leaders had scratches from her, from that dreadful fight.She couldn't afford to turn herself in even if that tortishell she cat says that she is the spotted fire.She knew Starclan would let the clan cats know that she is okay but they would still kill her.Even she wanted kits of her own but now she made a wrong turn, so that the cats would kill her when they find her.She creaped down to hear more then she finally went into the clearing walking up to the tortishell she cat, "did you see light amber eyes?"

She was startled by what the she cat asked "ye...yes I did, my mother even pointed at them with her nose when she said, spotted fire, and I think it was you.I was here on the rock with my mother and that bush where you did hide is where the light amber eyes were." She looked at all the cats, "is that a good reason why she is the spotted fire, there are alot of things and there was one more cat and it was a dark brown tom with amber eyes and I think it was Darkclaws father."

"And also Thornstar, I'm sorry, and I wasn't stolen by a badger or fox, I spotted a fox and came looking for you by scenting you to the camp but I couldn't find the entrance so I started to find a hiding spot and soon I fell asleep and when I awoke, I was cold.So I yowled for you to came find me but you didn't come.I looked for the entrance one more time and this time some cat found me and took me to shelter, he had dark amber eyes and a dark brown coat.His mate took me in, and soon I was strong enough to go and find you to have revenge on you, because you didn't try to find me." Darkclaw looked at her paws, and mumered "I'm sorry!Please forgive me and please don't kill me I lost my mother and now my brother, please I already lost too much, just, I just wanted a family, but I made a wrong turn and now you all of you probably don't want me, I wanted a normal life. But now..."She broke off as some cat started to talk to her.

Iceheart stared at the she cat who had sorrow in her eyes, he whispered in Blacktails' ear "well I think Thornstar should give shelter to Darkclaw, I mean she is forgiving and she is sad, she lost everything and now has a troubled life."He looked at Darkclaw she still had sorrow in her eyes, how much Iceheart wanted to help this helpless she cat that has nothing but herself.

A thing that is little known by the other cats, Thornstar was a very gentle cat. He looked into the eyes of Darkclaw. We had given you up for dead, that is why I didn't send out a search party. I'm sorry. You cna join my clan, I am not the monster that you think. He stared at Darkclaw, waiting for her answer. Just one word of warning, if you ever attack me again you will be killed.Riverclan, let's go home. He started walking towards the Twoleg bridge, signalling Darkclaw to follow his cats.

Darkclaw was happy that Thornstar gave her a home, she now knew that she would be normal, she ran up to Thornstar and said, "I am truely sorry, and thank you for giving me a home."She gently touched his flank with her tail, showing her thanks.

[Whitestar]

Sandpelt was horrified. No, not horrified. She was extremely angered. Angered by her sister. Angered by her clan. Angered that Thornstar had given up that easily, he shouldn't be a leader. She tried to hold back her anger, but when she could bear it no more, she yowled, Thornstar! What good is a leader if he is going to let every cat under StarClan come into his clan? She costed you a life! You like that? Yeah? How about you just let her take another one...maybe even two more? I think that would be okay. I guess you do too. And with that she ran into the bracken jumping over Iceheart and Blacktail, towards ShadowClan territory. Once she got there, she bolted into the warriors den and wept. She knew that she was probably not going to be able to go to a gathering ever again. And maybe even Oakstar wouldn't like her anymore. But she tried not to think about that. She thought about how she would have to fight her sister if they had to attack her new clan or if Darkclaw's clan attacked ShadowClan. She thought about the relationshp that her and her sister, Darkclaw had when they were kits. It was almost as strong as her and Oakstar's. Her and Darkclaw would never be able to have a relationship like that ever again. Thanks to Thornstar, she had to relive being taken away from her sister. When she could think no more, she fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Darktail whispered back to Iceheart, I don't really think he should...I mean she took one of his lives.

Whitestar took the signal that the Gathering was over and told her cats to come. She started to walk home with them, but she slowly turned back and looked at the now blood-stained part of the clearing. She then turned back around, shook her head, and walked the rest of that way to her clan.

"Yes this is over, until next time."She flicked her tail signaling to go back to camp, "Well Whitestar until next time good bye."She ran back toward the group of cats and started to head her way home.

Thornstar bristled at what Sandpelt said, but he kept limping on towards home.
