Firestar stopped grooming and mewed, What is it?What is happening!?She stood up, her fur bristling with fear on what was happening.

The rats! They're back! When I was with HAwkpaw and Rainpaw near Barleys old farm, we smelt rats, and I smelt them even closer! You remember what happened last time! MY mother was killed!

Firestar was stunned, She was my friend too not just a mother!Take the apprentices and go to the nursery with them make sure the apprentices stay there for now.While you are doing that I will be going to find out where the rats are and bring Barley with me so he can fight with the clan.Now go!She burst out of her den and ran to the entrance to make her journey to find out where the rats were and to get Barley to come and stop the rats from coming.She fought next to Ravenwhisker's mother before againest rats and have ever since stayed alert for rats.She ran through the entrance and was now almost to Barleys place when she felt a pain run through her leg.Rats!
