Thornstar waited for blacktail to come into his den, he was starting to get hungry, so he decided after talking with her to go out hunting now there were more cats in the camp to defend it.

Blacktail walked into Thornstar's den and asked, Did you want me Thornstar? She looked around the den, she hadn't been there for a while yet it still looked the same.

yes, I just wanted to make sure you were ok with my choice as deputy. I know you wanted to become it as well, and you are probably dissapointed. I just wanted you to know that even though I didn't choose you, you are still a valued part of this clan.

Blacktail looked down at her paws and said, Yeah thats fine...i'll live. I mean, you could have chosen any cat. Its okay. She said and she turned to sulk out of Thornstar's den.

Thronstar noticed this and felt bad, he had wanted her to know. He just wished there were kits in the camp so that he oculd finally make her a mentor!

Blacktail turned around, gave a weak smile to Thornstar and turned back around, walking all the way out of his den. She cleaned herself and got ready for the gathering.
